In the next edition of Fonk magazine an interview with Paul Roeters of Studio Kluif. Fonk magazine is published every two weeks and writes about communication & advertising, media, design, photography and sometimes fashion, in the highest gear of journalism. In this interview the story about the power of beauty, the Jheronimus-brand, and how to make pricewinning designs by distinguishing yourself through design on seemingly everyday products.

Kluif goes global

Studio Kluif is invited to come to the Design Katha Forum of the Shri Lanka Design Festival 2015 in Colombo from November 27th - 29th. Design Katha Forum, hosted by AOD International Design Campus aims to promote design knowledge interchange between Sri Lanka and the world, and gives an insight into contemporary design through the experience of renowned international designers and design educator. The founders of Kluif, Jeroen Hoedjes and Paul Roeters will attend at this festival. Besides a design workshop for students, Studio Kluif will also give a lecture about Dutch design and there will be an exhibition of Kluif’s work.

At this moment, the Jheronimus dishcloths collection is in production. This beautiful collection is woven at a high quality weaving mill in Italy. The collection will soon be available in the Netherlands.

Paul van Loon meets Nimus

Dutch-known children’s author, Paul van Loon, wrote a book about Hieronymus Bosch called “Op zoek naar Jeroen” (Looking for Jeroen). In his new book the author gets lost itself in the particular world in the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch. Kluif’s creation, the little devil Nimus playes a role in the various illustrations.

Trip to South Korea

After winning at the IDC Eeum Design Connects 2015 we had a great trip to Seoul and Gwangju in South Korea. Among other things, we checked out the local markets, bought a few books and indulged in some great Korean food.
