Newrulez coordinates the activities geared towards young people of Ilse Media, a full subsidiary of Sanoma Publishers. Newrulez was established in 2004 after realising that traditional media and marketing do not come up to the mark in reaching young people. Newrulez wants to turn the tide with innovative marketing that focuses on young people from 4 to 29. Newrulez, for example, builds on an organisation with strong brands, products, formats and services in the area of the Internet, (digital) TV and mobile telephony. Studio Kluif produced the full Newrulez corporate identity and is responsible for the design of websites such as Startgames, CU2, Jouwdier and Shopgirl.

The emphasis is on the power of images and on zapping culture in the figurative language of Newrulez. The logo makes a reference to the overlaps of new media that create new forms and possibilities.
