Amoy was originally founded in 1908. The Wong and Chong families founded Amoy’s predecessor- the Tao Fa company, based in the Chinese coastal city of Xiamen. Amoy is the old English romanisation of this cities name. A hundred years later Amoy has grown into an international brand with a strong presence in Asia as well as Europe. Nowadays Amoy still comes straight out of the heart of Asia, without addition of any Dutch twist of the traditional flavours originating from Hong Kong, Malasia and Thailand. Therefor in the eastern food section of the supermarket Amoy is the only authentic brand with the right to call itself truly asian. Now comes the time for Holland to discover this brand. To begin Amoys projection to the Dutch market Kluif designed a stylish bowl where eastern style meals can be served.
